SHARE YOUR STORY

Hopefully by now telling a compelling story doesn’t feel so scary or daunting, and you feel more confident in your ability to motivate people towards your vision.

Go and create impact...

Like anything else in life, story telling is a skill you can learn, and the more you do it, the better you will become. So keep practicing, keep getting feedback and refining your work and tell your story like only you can. Great story telling moves people like nothing else, long after the facts and figures of an argument have faded we remember the stories that inspire us.

Bring your words to life using style, tone, and a medium of your choosing. Are you creating a two to four minute video? A two-page written narrative? A 12-15 slide deck? You want to create something human, compelling, and persuasive. To make an impact and strike an emotional chord.

Share your final story with others. If you have made a visual deck, add some notes or a script so that people can follow and understand your story and leave you feedback.

Present your story to a live audience or record a video or audio. However you do it, share it, get feedback and iterate.

TIP: Don’t lose sight of your audience and what they care about. Make sure you are tying your story to their emotional needs. Remember, polishing your story doesn’t mean trading in the human-ness and “you-ness” of it. Honing your story is about figuring out what truly resonates, and finding your unique voice.
